1. What Anam AI: Spiritual Direction is
Anam AI: Spiritual Direction is a contemplative companion that offers reflection prompts, scripture, and spiritual-direction-inspired conversation across a range of Christian traditions. It is designed for personal reflection and spiritual formation.
2. What Anam AI: Spiritual Direction is not
Anam AI: Spiritual Direction is not a substitute for therapy, counselling, medical advice, emergency support, or qualified pastoral care. It cannot contact emergency services, a crisis line, or another person on your behalf.
If you are in immediate danger, or may harm yourself or someone else, call your local emergency number now, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact a crisis line in your country.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use Anam AI: Spiritual Direction. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Your account & your content
You can use Anam AI: Spiritual Direction anonymously or by creating a free account. If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for the activity that happens under it.
You retain ownership of the reflections, messages, and journal entries you submit. You grant Anam AI: Spiritual Direction a limited licence to store and process that content solely to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Anam AI: Spiritual Direction for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
- submit content that violates anyone’s rights, including intellectual-property and privacy rights;
- impersonate another person, or use the service to harass anyone.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. AI-generated content
Responses are generated by an AI model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or theologically debatable, and should be read as reflective prompts rather than authoritative pastoral instruction. Use your own discernment, and consult qualified human guides for important decisions.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep Anam AI: Spiritual Direction available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time. We may apply reasonable rate limits to protect the service for everyone.
8. Disclaimers & limits of liability
Anam AI: Spiritual Direction is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot be waived.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Anam AI: Spiritual Direction after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
